It’s already been a little while, but I thought I’d post the photos I took while in Norway, giving a session at the Norwegian Developers Conference in Oslo.
I used Expression Media 2 to generate the image gallery, using the “Make HTML Gallery” function and their “Ruby” template. It was super-easy to generate the gallery, and I think it did a pretty good job. There are lots of templates from which you can choose, and they’re pretty easy to customize using Expression Web 2 and a little knowlege of CSS.
The event itself was great. It was a two-day event presenting new technologies and ideas to about 1000 Norwegian developers. I arrived in Oslo June 16, and presented “XAML for designers” and “Introducing Expression Studio 2″ on the 18th, giving me a day in Oslo to head over to the Munch museum and adjust my clock a little bit, which was hard.
Oslo is a beautiful city and easy to walk … even with what feels like a 25-pound Dell XPS laptop and an old iBook for your notes. Whew.
I enjoyed the trip and hope to return for a UX summit in the planning stages now.
